This half-term our topic is "In The Himalayas" and we will be devoting every Friday to a full day
of topic work! During our topic days we will be: focusing on geography and looking at how this
impacts on the human activity in the Himalayas; reading compasses, atlases and a range of
maps; comparing the Himalayas to the rest of the world and looking at the climate zone in the
mountain range. We will also be using our Himalayan topic as the key driver for lots of our
writing and reading work. We might even find out about the mysterious yetis and abominables!
Just a reminder. We expect all children to read for 10 minutes - 5 times a week.
Each Friday your child will be given Homelearning to be handed back into school by Wednesday.
Spellings will be given out every Friday and the children will have to learn them ready for the
next spelling lesson in school.
