This half term our main topic is based around electricity. We will be discussing the uses and
dangers of electricity and working in partners to create own our working circuits. The children
will have the opportunity in the coming weeks to do some coding on the school laptops and in
RE, the children will be discussing the impact of ‘choices and decisions’ may have in given
scenarios. Finally, as we approach the summer holidays, the children will work collaboratively to
conduct a variety of science investigations.

Reading Books, Spellings and Homework
Your child will be given:
- a reading book
- #30things homework challenge
- Key 3 activities
We expect all children to read for 10 minutes - 3 times a week. Books will be changed, ready to be sent out every Friday.
Each Friday, your child can choose an activity to do from the #30things grid. We look forward to seeing the pictures of the children completing their challenges! These need to be handed back into school the following Tuesday.
Spellings will now be taught 4 times a week in class. This means that no spelling homework will be given out.
These activities are very important in helping your child improve at school and we hope you will support us by helping your child at home.
