This half term, our topic areas are diverse. We start the half-term looking at how
everything in the universe is made up of three states of matter: Solids, liquids and gases.
We will be doing a number of experiments and investigations to test why certain
substances and objects fit in to which state of matter and how some materials can change
from one state to another. We have then got a trip planned to the Sikh temple to begin
their understanding of the key ideas and practices of Sikhism. We then end the term
looking at classification of different living things. How certain animals or living organisms
thrive in their habitats.
Reading Books, Spellings and Homework
Your child will be given:
- a reading book
- #30things homework challenge
- Key 3 activities
We expect all children to read for 10 minutes - 3 times a week. Books will be changed, ready to be sent out every Friday.
Each Friday, your child can choose an activity to do from the #30things grid. We look forward to seeing the pictures of the children completing their challenges! These need to be handed back into school the following Tuesday.
Spellings will now be taught 4 times a week in class. This means that no spelling homework will be given out.
These activities are very important in helping your child improve at school and we hope you will support us by helping your child at home.
