Gladiators and tie-dye t-shirts.....
Year 4 will be kick-starting this half term by learning about the Romans. They will be given the opportunity to investigate artefacts borrowed from a museum, take part in a mock invasion and carry out research to enable them to create a Roman facts board game. Following this, they will begin their Beatles topic with a trip to the Beatles Museum in Liverpool. This topic will focus on the moods and feelings created by the lyrics in songs and the children will be changing lyrics and re-creating Beatles songs to make them their own. The topic will end with a Beatles day, which will include a mini disco with home-made costumes - look out for those tie-die t-shirts and peace necklaces!
